To make your digital bank statements available, you need to give CodaBox a mandate to retrieve them from your bank. If you create your own CodaBox account, you will need to do this yourself with CodaBox. However, many accountants have already received a mandate from their clients to request these digital bank statements. So be sure to check with your accountant first to see if this is the case for your business. If it is not, you can ask your accountant to sort it out or create a CodaBox account yourself. Have you sorted out the mandate with your accountant? Then you can request a token to import your CODA files into MYBREEX.
To do so, click on the ‘Automate’ submenu in the ‘Bank’ menu. Then click on ‘Request token’. If the mandate is signed with your accountant and your e-mail address and bank account numbers are known to CodaBox, you will receive an e-mail containing a token that you can enter in the field provided. Accept the general conditions and click ‘Save’ to import your bank statements into MYBREEX via CodaBox. Don’t receive a token? Then contact your accountant to set up the mandate for CodaBox.
I clicked on the ‘Request Token’ button, but get an email that my account is not known to CodaBox.
Contact your accountant to add the account to your Codabox account.
I entered the CodaBox token, but it is not accepted.
Presumably, you have received a more recent token in your mailbox and this token is no longer valid. Please use the new token or contact support@codabox.com.
In the ‘Automate’ submenu, it says the connection to the bank is active, but I am not receiving any transactions.
If you notice that no bank transactions are still visible after a few days, we recommend contacting your accountant or CodaBox. Presumably, your mandate has not yet arrived at the bank or no bank transactions are yet available at CodaBox.
How do I add multiple accounts to the automatic payment check via Codabox?
To receive CODA files from multiple accounts in MYBREEX, all these accounts must be registered with CodaBox. Contact your accountant to add all the accounts for which you want to receive CODA files in MYBREEX to your CodaBox account.
I have changed accountants.
If your accountant changes, a new token must always be requested to reconnect with the bank via CodaBox. First check with your new accountant whether he has an account with CodaBox with mandates for all his files, and if necessary, give him a mandate to link your bank accounts.
